March Jeongmin Seok
March Jeongmin Seok is a composer from Seoul, South Korea, whose work spans experimental concert music, electroacoustic music, film music, and musical theatre. As a composer, she aims to foster empathy toward marginalized things and beings, concentrating on those hidden beneath the surface and offering comfort through music. In her music, she explores overlooked emotions, objects, and mundane sounds of daily life, transforming them into something more universal and relatable. Influenced by her experience growing up as a third culture kid, she is also deeply interested in cross-cultural interaction and collaboration.March is also a pianist, violinist, and violist who enjoys collaborating with other artists both as a composer and performer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Composition from Ewha Womans University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Composition at Florida State University.
